¡GeneralTouch Wins a Gold Medal for Providing its Touch Screen Solutions for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games!

The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, demonstrated a great connection between the historical Olympic Games and the ancient Chinese culture, accomplished the one hundred year Olympic dream of the Chinese people and showcased to the world the rapid growth of China.

From none to one, the weak to the strong, China has unfolded a glorious sports poem. During the games, tens of thousands of athletes from more than 200 countries, millions of visitors and more than 30,000 journalists and reporters around the world witnessed first-hand, the growth of China.

Touch screens provided by GeneralTouch were put into the applications of Beijing Olympic Games’ facilities and contributed to the success of Olympic Games. Cooperating with integrator partners, GeneralTouch provided Information Kiosks to more than 20 Beijing Olympic Games Facilities including the, now World famous, National Stadium “Bird’s Nest”, National Natatorium “Water Cube” and Olympic Park etc.

    

These kiosks offered convenient information resources to visitors and athletes around the world with the most updated information of map, event timetables, medal list and hotel information etc. Many foreign visitors feel it was better and more convenient to get updated current information, from these onsite kiosks than from the internet.

The kiosks in National Stadium were in red, to match the “Bird’s Nest” style. Touch screens on these kiosks are GeneralTouch’s 19’’ tough touch screens which are characterized with water proof, dust proof and vandal proof functions. The excellent performance and user-friendly functions of these touch screens not only gained many favorable comments from the employees of the stadium but also the visitors around the world.
