Looking Forward to Self Service Expo Europe 2008 & The Digital Signage Show Europe!

Now in its 3rd successful year, KioskCom Self Service Expo Europe, Europe’s premier event for customer facing technologies, has gone from strength to strength, quickly becoming the European business portal for the latest in self service and kiosk technology. Plus, for 2008, The Digital Signage Show Europe will run alongside Self Service Expo Europe for the first time – reflecting the growing synergy between these two technologies.
It’s an exciting year for customer facing technologies and a time of considerable change driven by our current economic climate and a need to reduce costs, increase revenues and improve customer service – the three biggest benefits of self service technology deployment. Many small purchases, from your latte on the dash to the office to the fuel you put in the car on the way home are likely to be paid for with a swipe, Oyster Card style, or via your mobile phone bill.
In retail, on the shop floors themselves, we are also set to witness the adoption of technology on a huge scale – the appearance in Europe of electronic shelf-edge labelling, to give one example. One major UK supermarket retailer is currently trialling the system which allows central control of shelf-edge labels across its entire network of stores – a huge efficiency move but one that also opens up a new form of revenue generation through instantly changeable advertising.
This year’s show will bring together key decision makers and property managers within the retail, financial, travel, hospitality, catering, local government and healthcare sectors to discover the latest innovations in kiosk, self service, digital signage and customer facing technology.
